Congratulations to Valley Jr. Warrior and CPC Newcomer, Megan Carlson on her recent USA Hockey selection to the U18 national camp!

Megan Carlson was one of the few under-15s selected for the camp. Only 76 players nationwide are chosen for the U18 national camp from all eligible birth years (2007-2009). Carlson is a long-time Valley Jr. Warriors joining the program as a Mite Minor on the 2009 Elites. Carlson significantly contributed to the program's success, winning multiple E9 championships and qualifying for nationals. In the U13's 2023 State Championship run, Carlson put up 8 goals and 4 assists for 12 points in the 6 games played. Megan will join our CPC program this fall. 

The selection process is rigorous. Players attend an open tryout in March, hoping to be selected for the District Festival weekend, featuring the top 80 players. Half of these players advance to the final roster of 40. They are evaluated against top talent nationwide, and if they excel, they are selected for the U18 Select Player Camp or their respective age group camps.
